Maine Family Federal Credit Union is proud to announce that it raised $871.94 through a recent teal ribbon fundraiser in support of Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Services (SAPARS).
Held throughout May at both branch locations, the fundraiser invited members to purchase teal ribbons to raise awareness and show support for survivors. The initiative provided a simple yet meaningful opportunity for members to get involved while contributing to an important community cause.
Thanks to the generosity of Maine Family members, the fundraiser not only generated financial support but also raised awareness of the critical services SAPARS provides to individuals and families in Androscoggin, Franklin, and Oxford counties. These services include advocacy, education, and 24/7 confidential support for survivors of sexual violence.
"At Maine Family, we are committed to supporting the well-being of our community,” said Dan Clarke, President/CEO of Maine Family Federal Credit Union. "We are grateful to our members for joining us in supporting this important cause and helping make an impact through this fundraiser."
A check presentation was held on June 23 with representatives from SAPARS to celebrate the success of the fundraiser and the continued partnership between the two organizations
SAPARS works to prevent and eliminate sexual violence while promoting healing and empowerment for people of all genders and ages affected by sexual violence. Their work plays a vital role in creating a safer, more supportive community for all.
Maine Family Federal Credit Union remains committed to supporting local organizations and initiatives that strengthen the community and improve the lives of those we serve.
