Muriel Richard Retires

Muriel Richard

After 32 years of service, Muriel Richard has retired as Consumer Lending Specialist of Maine Family in December 2010.  Muriel plans to enjoy her grandkids, and her new great grandson.  She has very high hopes to travel.  When asked how she feels about retiring Muriel commented, “I really haven’t thought too much about it. I’ll have to find some work to keep busy.  I really want to volunteer at nursing homes, and I have a lot to do at home like cleaning out closets and organizing things.  All the things you don’t have time to do when your working full time”.  Muriel said about her past 32 years, “I really can’t say I have ever gotten up and dreaded going to work.  I’ve really enjoyed it.  I learned so many things through the years. I learned how to use a computer here.  I enjoy what I’ve been doing.  I get to help people everyday.  Whether it be purchasing a car or recreational vehicle and even new homes.  I’m going to miss all the people I worked with.  I think the younger folk see me as a mother instead of a coworker.  They love my bringing in soup for them.  We’ve had a lot of good times”.
