Our community is Androscoggin County, Maine. Anyone who lives, works, worships or attends school in the county may join Maine Family Federal Credit Union. Our employees live in the area and volunteer with organizations that support youth, family, ending hunger and civic activities.

Maine Family in the Community
We give to our community in a variety of ways.  At our two local Adopt-A-Schools, Farwell Elementary in Lewiston and Fairview Elementary in Auburn, Maine Family employees help with book fairs, PTA fundraising events, dinners and with school food can collections that fund playground toys. 

Throughout the year, employees of Maine Family donate to a fund to purchase new toys and coats for kids for the holidays and they help with our credit union's collection of used coats for the WCSH annual Coats for Kids project.  Every spring and fall, Maine Family participates in the statewide Credit Union Campaign to End Hunger, collecting canned goods, and selliing candy and stuffed animals to support this important project.

In 2007, Maine Family Federal Credit Union collected fifteen bags of coats which were cleaned by Pratt Abbott and donated to the Coats for Kids drive.  Several boxes of canned goods were collected at both the Lewiston and Auburn branches and were donated to provide holiday meals for local needy families. We're currently collecting coats for this year's Coats for Kids and once again we're participating in the Maine Credit Union's Campaign for Ending Hunger.
